A
word from the
Dealer Principal

Gosh, where did January go? I am hearing this a great deal.
For the team at Adrian Brien Automotive whilst the month seemed to pass very quickly it was action packed. We are all celebrating the achievement of January 2008 being our busiest month on record – well done to all our staff and especially for the fantastic customer service they are providing. Our level of repeat business has never been higher.
We also celebrated 40 years of service from Ian Brown (no relation to me, although my father is named Ian) that you can read about this issue.
A special welcome to our latest e-news subscribers and our new customers.
Keep well and happy motoring.

Andrew
Brown,
Dealer Principal.

Based on the recent Iosis X concept, the Ford Kuga has won plenty of fans since it was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show late last year. Now that it’s been announced it will soon be available in the UK, we can start to cross our fingers that it will arrive on our shores sooner rather than later.
The distinctive crossover vehicle is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine and blends the best of European design with the functionality of a sporty all-wheel drive. The European version also enjoys an advanced navigation system with 7-inch colour screen and reversing camera.
The Kuga will be manufactured in Germany and is due in the UK soon. While there are no dates confirmed for Australia, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Towards the end of January the entire Adrian Brien team celebrated the huge achievement of Ian Brown, an Automotive Technician who’s achieved 40 years of service to the Ford Brand.
Starting out in 1968 at Fairway Ford in Unley, Ian then joined Adrian Brien when the company was bought out.
There to celebrate and mark the occasion was Regional Manager for Ford Motor Company Colin Werner and Regional Service Manager Greg Sabile.
Congratulations Ian and thanks for all your hard work over the years. It’s been a pleasure and we’re sure we’ll be benefiting from your wisdom for a lot longer.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. |
Ford of Europe has created some cracking cars over the years. Tragically, though, we have missed out on a few – Puma, S-Max and Capri 2800i spring to mind.
And it appeared that we were not going to see the Mondeo MkIII either, after the poor sales performance of the first-generation models of the 1990s. But you can’t keep a brilliant car away forever, and the latest version of a lineage that commenced with the Consul Cortina back in 1962 undoubtedly rates as one of the world’s finest family cars.
The big Ford from Belgium has almost got it all. If you are in the market for a sub-$40,000 five-seater of any shape or description, the latest Mondeo must make it on your ‘to try’ list. So go on, we dare you - it's that good. Case in point: Zetec 2.3-litre petrol sedan.
