ISSUE 22 - JULY 2008

A word from the
Dealer Principal

Hello and welcome to our July E-News and a special welcome to our new subscribers.

The automotive industry continues to be very strong despite the increased pressures on our wallets of rising fuel costs. Stong employment has been a key to the overall strength of the Australian retail market.

A massive 106,541 vehicles were sold nationally in June which is up slightly for the same time period last year. Overall sales are up 3.5% YTD nationally and up 8% in South Australia.

It’s no surprise though that there has been a large fundamental shift to smaller more economical vehicles. Having said that the medium SUV models including the Ford Territory has grown a massive 18.5% year on year.

With my wife driving a Territory it’s not hard to see why; it’s a great family and lifestyle vehicle and in the overall scheme of things the cost of fuel is only one part of the cost of ownership.

During the month two employees celebrate 10 years of service at Our dealership. Our staff retention is just fantastic and their loyalty even better.

Enjoy our e-news. Happy and safe motoring.

CUSTOMER PROFILE - APG SECURITY "Your Security Is Our Commitment!"

APG Security has been associated with our dealership for seven years as our security provider, with their security staff doing constant patrols of ourselves and other businesses in the area.

Testament to their ability the business has been constantly growing and with a recent take-over of another security company owner Bill Smeaton has purchased another six Hyundai Getz as patrol vehicles.

This makes 12 Getz that Bill’s team have on the road at present and with Bill’s successful management and great service this will no doubt continue to grow.

Recent trade-ins have seen kilometre readings in excess of 400,000kms. Just showing the durability of the Hyundai product.

It’s also not surprising that Bill runs the Hyundai Getz as last month the RAA listed Getz as the cheapest vehicle in Australia to run over four years. In second place was the Hyundai i30 CRDi - so a great result overall for Hyundai.
Bill & his team specialise in:

• Alarm Installation, Repairs, Monitoring and Response   • Banking Services
• Cash Escorts   • Mobile Patrols
• Surveillance   • Uniformed Guards

If you need Bill’s service at all, contact him on 83596911.
