The eagerly anticipated release of the street’s favourite small car, the all new model Ford Fiesta, has been worth the wait. With a sexy, smart demeanour it’s one car you’ll sit up and take notice of.
Just three months after its European debut, the all-new Fiesta was developed under the ‘One Ford’ regime which aims to cut inefficiencies and simplify their model portfolio. The birth of the new Fiesta reflects this change and goes unchallenged by any other in the small car segment with safety and technological features.
Voice control, MP3, Bluetooth® connectivity, cruise control and a staggering five-star Euro NCAP rating sits impressively alongside the energy-absorbent front bumper, specially designed bonnet and the rearranged engine-bay hard points, which has earned the Fiesta four ENCAP stars for child safety and three for pedestrian impact.
With the inside looking so good, Ford haven’t skimped on the outside and have a range of contemporary, fun colours that perfectly compliments its sleek body.
The Ford Fiesta; this is now.

This month we congratulate Linda Johnson for her dedicated and loyal service over 20 years.
Linda started back in 1989 as a used car cleaner in the used Ford department and has now for a great number of years been a very important part of the new car pre-delivery team.
Linda's commitment and dedication to her role is highly regarded by all at Adrian Brien.
In August Linda will attend the Adtrans Group 20 year dinner when all past and present 20 year plus employees and partners get together each year for an evening hosted by our chairman Graeme Bignell. |

To commemorate Linda Johnson’s 20 years at Adrian Brien, we thought we’d take a look back at other memorable events that year.
Cast your mind back and you may remember that 1989 was the beginning of the fall of the Berlin Wall. It was also the year when Prime Minister Bob Hawke wept on Australian television and admitted marital infidelity.
Driving Miss Daisy, starring Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman, won Best Film of the year while Australian sweethearts Kylie and Jason collaborated in their number one hit Especially for You.Hawthorn beat Geelong in the AFL/VFL grand final which made history as one of the greatest grand finals of all time.

In the last 50 years the number of cities with 10 million people or more has increased from two to 25. Mega-cities such as London, New York and Tokyo are associated with fame, fortune and prosperity but there is strong evidence to suggest their dominance is coming to an end.
The growth rate of populations with a mega-city has slowed from 8% in the 1980s to less that 4% in the last five years. It is expected that over the next 25 years population growth rates will start to decline.
The future years will belong to the ‘second tier cities’. At the end of 2008 more people now live in cities than in the countryside for the first time in human history.
50% of city dwellers in the world live in cities with less than half a million residents. Between 2000 and 2015 the world’s smallest cities (under 500,000 people) will grown by 23%, cities with 1.5 million people with grow by 27%.
These trends are the result of global Real Estate increases, international migration, cheaper transport, new technologies and the demographic impact of the baby boomers.
