A
word from the
Dealer Principal

Hello and welcome to our April edition and a special welcome to our new subscribers.
Easter has come and gone and we look back and wonder where the year has gone with almost a third of the year behind us.
During the month our Hyundai Dealership celebrated it’s 21st birthday (with Adrian Brien Ford operating for 38 years) with a massive three day sale. We ended the week having posted a record sales week and helped top off an all time best month.
Despite all the doom and gloom, most of it overseas, it is really encouraging to see so much activity in our dealership.
I am very proud of all of our staff and the levels of service they provide in all aspects of our business.
Our service department is also growing constantly with booking numbers increasing all the time.
We trust you enjoy this month’s issue. Happy and safe motoring. |

HYUNDAI'S NEW i30 WAGON:
A CUSTOMER'S OPINION
|
Congratulations to Brian and Elaine Attwood on being the first to purchase and take delivery of the all-new Hyundai i30 Wagon. |
Brian and Elaine with Sales Consultant Luke Hosszu |
The Attwood’s were so impressed with their new Hyundai i30 Wagon that they wrote to us and told us exactly what they love about it. Here are just a few things they had to say about it:
‘The i30 Wagon is so quiet on the road, even more so than the Fairmont which is saying something.
The stability control can only be tested to the full on a road such as the road from Victor Harbour to Mount Compass where at 100kmph it just stuck to the road like glue with little side thrust on the passengers.
[We] would very much like to congratulate the design engineers…their attention to detail and innovation put Hyundai in a league of their own.
I can see the day not too far distant that Hyundai will be a world player in the automotive arena. I can say this with some authority as I have worked worldwide in the automotive industry for over 30 years.
With all the features offered as standard [on the i30 Wagon] to compare accurately you need to look at vehicles over twice the price to get a true comparison.’

Congratulations to Rob Pryde and Jarrod Gibson on achieving Master Technician status with Hyundai. |
Jarrod, David Twigg (Service Operations Manager), Rob
|
Rob now sets himself apart in our business in that he is a dual Master Technician, also qualified for Ford.
We are all very proud of our Master Technicians and the entire service team.
You can be very comfortable in knowing that Adrian Brien is now home to more Master Technicians than any other dealership in South Australia which is a huge achievement.
No wonder our service bookings are growing month on month! |

HYUNDAI i30 IS A BORN CROSSOVER |
Born at the Hyundai design and engineering centre in Russelsheim, Germany, the new Hyundai i30cw (crossover wagon) was devised from the outset to be a wagon, but with a nod to the base SX and mid-level SXK model structure.
|
With a larger body, increased rear-seat legroom and an upsized cargo area with split-fold seats which then gives up to 1395 litres of space when folded down, this is the perfect car for a busy, growing family or a busy professional.
The i30cw is available in a petrol or diesel variant; both engines can be couple with either a five speed manual (in SX models only) or a four-speed automatic gearbox.
Safety as standard comes in the form of ESC, traction control, ABS with EDB, dual front airbags, active head restraints for the front seats and tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment.
The i30cw also benefits from Hyundai’s HALO speed-sensing locking system which locks all doors over 40-kilometers per hour. Air-conditioning, power windows, CD/MP3/WMA audio with a USB port and iPod compatibility adds to the comfort and pleasure of this fantastic vehicle. |

Ford had not one, but three gems to show off at the recent Melbourne International Motor Show when they unveiled the Fiesta diesel, a revamped Territory and revisited the Focus – a staple in the Ford portfolio.
 |
|
The Fiesta diesel was the real head-turner of the day because of the innovative design technology which comes under the Ford ECOnetic umbrella and promises to be one of the lowest CO2-emitting vehicles ever offered by Ford.
Watch out later in the year when this vehicle is launched - under 4.0L/100Km - that's less than a Toyota Prius!
The Ford Territory SUV showed off its makeover three months ahead of its arrival in dealerships. Revised exterior styling along with interior improvements has made the Territory as fresh as it was during its initial debut.
Not one to be overlooked, the Ford Focus made an appearance with updated looks which we should be seeing in dealerships in the coming months.
Ford’s finger is very much on the pulse of what their customers want, bringing style and value together with economic and environmental innovation. |
