A
word from the
Dealer Principal

Hello and welcome to our new subscribers.
Last week I had a wonderful opportunity to travel with Hyundai management to South Korea to view their operations and future plans. Next month I will provide you with some interesting insights of my trip.
Special congratulations to Ian Rose on his official 15 year milestone (29 all up).
With business and consumer confidence now improving very quickly from the lows of the global financial crisis last year our business continues to go from strength to strength with Hyundai vehicle sales leading the charge.
Year on year Hyundai is the best performing brand in Australia with a massive 32 percent increase. With the current stable of vehicles, it’s not surprising!
We trust you enjoy this month’s issue.
Happy and safe motoring.

HYUNDAI REVEALS NEW SUV RANGE
|
Hyundai has taken centre stage at the Frankfurt Motor Show where the covers were lifted on the new ix35 SUV concept.
|
The ix35 will ultimately become a replacement for the Hyundai Tucson and is set to hit our shores in the first half of 2010.
Its design represents a major step forward for Hyundai as it is the first SUV to be engineered in Europe whilst embodying Hyundai’s new design elements and the sweeping styles of the ix-onic concept car that premiered earlier this year.
“SUVs represent a cornerstone in our continuing sales success… We can’t wait to have the new models out in dealer showrooms,” said Hyundai Motor Company.
“Its (ix35) sleek European lines will appeal to buyers looking for style and sophistication; people whose choice of car is a statement not only of who they are, but what their lifestyle represents – freedom, fashion and elegance.”
Stay tuned for more information as we await the release of the ix35 onto the Australian market.

MB-SERIES MONDEO SET FOR FLEET BUYERS
|
The Ford Mondeo is set to take aim at business fleets with the facelifted MB-series offering a range of standard extras that were previously optional features in the original MA-series.
The MB-series will offer the likes of voice-controlled Bluetooth® handsfree connectivity, auto on-off headlights, cruise control and leather-wrapped steering wheel as standard.
After its launch in August, the Mondeo is set to attract fleet-buyers, thanks to the new station wagon variant introduced earlier this year.
Also the addition of the range-topping Titanium model introduces hi-tech features to the Mondeo including radar-controlled cruise control, collision mitigation emergency brake preparation, swivelling headlights, and true keyless entry and start functionality.
All this has been introduced at an affordable price with the wagon body at only $1,000 above the base LX hatch model.
With a diesel wagon joining the existing TDCi hatch by the end of the year – it’s easy to see why the Mondeo is on a mission.
Contact Craig Smith and the team for more information or to book a test drive today.

CONGRATULATIONS IAN ON 15 YEARS SERVICE |
This month we would like to introduce you to one of our long serving staff members – Ian Rose – who has been with Adrian Brien Automotive all-up for 29 years.
|
|
Ian originally joined our team in 1980, but left after 14 years to try his hand at real estate. After a year there, he re-joined the team at Adrian Brien and has been with us for 15 years, working his way up to be our Used Car Reconditioning Manager.
As Used Car Reconditioning Manager, Ian is in charge of coordinating the preparation of our cars and ensuring our used cars are reconditioned to our required certified level
Married with a 23-year-old daughter and a 20-year-old son, Ian says that he is a proud supporter of the Adelaide Crows and if he won a million dollars he would travel to places like South America, Egypt and the Middle East to see the pyramids and Machu Picchu.
Ian says that his dream car is a Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III, but that when in the market for a new car, you should look for something that suits your needs more than appearance.
|
We congratulate Ian on his ongoing commitment to our Dealership and will now leave you with some of his words of advice; “Treat others the way you expect to be treated”.

SUSTAINABLE LIVING TIPS - PART 2 |
Last month we showed you how you can do your bit for the world by living a more sustainable life. Here are some more tips for you to take inspiration from to begin making changes to your sustainable living.
| • |
Green up your pet – the pet care industry is a huge one, so your choice of pet food, kitty litter and other products can make a sustainable difference. For example, make sure your kitty litter is biodegradable.
|
| • |
Re-use, re-use, re-use – think ‘re-usable’ when it comes to everything. Even snap lock plastic bags are re-usable, much better than single-use freeze bags. |
| • |
Grow your own gifts – make your own gifts for friends. Create new plants from cuttings or seeds and put the plants in a pretty, hand painted pot. |
