FIAT 500 BEV ALL-ELECTRIC CONCEPT CAR

Fiat recently showcased the Fiat 500 BEV – an all-electric version of the 500 micro-hatch – at the Detroit Motor Show, which is still in the concept stage.

The 500 BEV employs the modular electric drive system being developed for small and mid-size models by Chrysler, which Fiat has a stake in.

It is based on what is already one of the most fuel-efficient models on the market, the 500 BEV is a direct response to the growing desire for more economical and ecologically sound vehicles.

Look out for more news on the fantastic all-electric 500 BEV that will be incorporated into future Chysler vehicle we are excited to be involved with

Kytons Bakery, a customer of Adrian Brien, recently bought a Ford Transit Van to make their deliveries, including taking their award winning Lamingtons to customers throughout South Australia.

Kytons Bakery has been baking for South Australians since 1938, producing their famous Lamingtons along with a wide selection of delicious and tasty treats.

They have also been instrumental in helping groups in South Australia to run successful fundraising drives since 1972. HOW MANY PROPERTIES SOLD FOR OVER $1 MILLION IN ADELAIDE IN 2009

Last year’s housing figures reported there were around 407 homes and seven apartments that sold for over $1 million in 2009, which is down compared to sales in the previous year.

In 2008 there were 447 homes which sold for over $1 million.

But is $1 million still considered ‘special’?  Any home worth $1 million and beyond is special, but from a price benchmark point of view, it is fair to say that $2 million is the new $1 million, given that 364 homes sold between $1-2 million, but only 43 of them sold for over $2 million.

See the sales in each price band for sales in 2009:
$1m- $1.5m > 288
$1.5m - $2m > 76
$2m - $3 > 37
$3m - $4m > 5
$4m - $5m > 1 in Unley Park for $4, 123, 550.

AUTUMN GARDENING

Time has flown quickly and summer is now behind us, leaving balmy weather welcoming us into the start of autumn gardening.

There’s the lawn care, cutting and trimming of roses or shrubs and the pruning and lopping of large shrubs and trees. Autumn, like spring is the time to give the garden a fresh start and if the right preparation is put into the garden it will come alive beautifully through winter and reap rewards. Here is a quick checklist for your autumn gardening tasks.

Autumn is time to make new plants from cuttings so take 10cm cuttings from hardwood herbs such as rosemary or bay leaves, remove the lower leaves then dip cuttings into hormone powder and pot in small containers. Keep moist and shelter from strong wind and sun.
Gather fallen leaves and grass cuttings, kitchen scraps and shredded prunings and layer in a compost bin, turning periodically to circulate and feed organisms.
And old ladder makes the perfect support for climbing vines like sweet peas. Try a splash of paint to give it impact in the garden or up against a wall.
Autumn is rose season, and they look beautiful at this time of the year, so choose the ones you love and order them from your local nursery.
This is the best time of year to feed the lawn as the grass will slow down with the cold nights, but the roots are still growing well. It’s a great time for repair because the soil is warm so use a slow release lawn food to develop a strong root system and thicker grass.
