A word from the
Dealer Principal

Hello and welcome to our April e-news, and a special welcome to the 320 new e-news members. In a relatively short time we are now going out to over 2,500 members. A special thanks for the excellent feedback and good ideas that we received in March.

While overall Motor Show attendance was down slightly on the previous year, those who attended were treated to wonderful display of vehicles. The convertible Focus and Fiesta XR4 as well as the Chrysler Sebring and 4-door Wrangler were just a few of the head turners on show this year.

This month we celebrate another employee milestone with Craig Saunders, vehicles appraiser and buyer, achieving 10 years of service. We also farewell Tony Abraham who is off to retire after 27 years in our panel shop.

We hope you enjoy this issue. Happy and safe motoring.

Andrew Brown,
Dealer Principal.

FORD DELIVERS WITH THE ALL NEW RANGER

Ford has replaced the Courier with the powerful new Ranger.

The all new Ranger combines power and style; a valuable introduction to Ford’s light commercial vehicle category.

The Ford Ranger is more than just a work truck; it’s also the perfect vehicle for the family, boasting all the creature comforts combined with added safety.

The new Ranger features a sleeker interior combined with a twin-cam turbo diesel engine and a common-rail direct fuel injection system for a smoother ride. It also features a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) which eliminates turbo lag and expands the torque curve for faster engine response.

The Ranger comes in either a five speed manual or automatic transmission, however with the 3.0L manual you can now tow up to a 3 tonne capacity when the vehicle is fitted with a Ford load leveling kit and towpack.

The Ranger is available in either a 2.5 or 3.0L four cylinder, 16 valve Duratorq engine. It’s not only economical but powerful with the 3.0L delivering 380Nm of torque at 1800rpm and 115kW of power at 3200rpm.

To test drive the new Ford Ranger, contact Adrian Brien today, or visit our website here.

TIBURON DRESSES UP FOR 2007
The stylish Hyundai Tiburon V6 Coupe has an all new look for 2007: with plenty of extras.

The new Tiburon, displayed at the Melbourne International Motor Show, features a new exterior and interior with upgraded safety features plus all the latest creature comforts.

The exterior now features a new nose, high riser rear wing and 17” alloy wheels. Cornering is more of a breeze with new front suspension, plus ESP, ABS, EBD and front side airbags for extra safety.

The new Tiburon also comes equipped with an AQS (Air Quality System), which automatically recirculates the air conditioning if polluted or pungent air is sensed outside the vehicle.

A high quality audio system is also included, featuring integrated connections for ipods, mp3 players and other entertainment devices. Cruise control, remote central locking, alarm, electric windows/mirrors and engine immobiliser are also just some of the standard features included.

One factor that makes the Tiburon stand out is its clever storage options.

Including rear seats that fold forward, air conditioned cooled cup holders and a roof console with sunglasses holder and map lights just to name a few.

The Hyundai Tiburon comes in either a six speed manual or a selectronic sequential clutchless manual-mode automatic. It also comes with Hyundai’s new 5 year, unlimited kilometre new car warranty.

HOW IMPORTANT IS THE CAR INDUSTRY?

Whilst no figures are available in Australia, American car factory jobs support several others industries, among  them suppliers, dealers and knock-on industries making automotive employment four times as valuable as the average job in the U.S economy.
