ISSUE 16
JANUARY 2008

A word from the
Dealer Principal

Happy New
Year to you.

I trust the Christmas and New Year was relatively relaxing, as best can be in this hectic time. A special welcome to our new customers and subscribers of our e-news.

2007 certainly was a “year of living busily” and our industry posted a record volume with 1,049,982 vehicles sold, an increase of 87,316 from the previous year.

It was also a busy 12 months for us in terms of many objectives being met, key targets being achieved, milestones reached and the usual frenetic day to day activities of our large and popular dealership.

2008 will see a consolidation of many of the new models released in 2007, with over 12 from our various franchises. They’ve all performed brilliantly since they were released. Sit tight to see what 2008 is about to bring, we'll keep you posted.

We’d like to congratulate two staff members on their ten years of service in this issue.

Here’s looking forward to a healthy and rewarding 2008.

Andrew Brown,
Dealer Principal.

CHRYSLER 300C

There are few vehicles on the road as instantly recognizable or impressive as the Chrysler 300C. With its purposeful front grill, its wide stance, its 18” chrome wheels, its ultra sleek windows, high waist line, twin exhausts and unmistakable engine sound it’s simply impossible not to notice the Chrysler 300C.

Built by the world’s best designers unfettered by compromise, the Chrysler 300C is the ultimate road vehicle. With a choice of four engines the Chrysler 300C matches good looks with impressive power. The engine line up offers customers either a 3.0-litre CRD V6,  3.5-litre V6,  5.7-litre HEMI V8 or the incredible 6.1-litre SRT Hemi V8 making it easy to pick the right model for you. And thanks to advanced engine technology all four motors deliver surprisingly frugal fuel economy figures making every day driving a breeze.

Fittingly for a vehicle as distinctive as the Chrysler 300C, the interior is more akin to a luxurious living room than a mere car. Featuring dual zone climate control, rain sensing wipers, a range of stereophile Boston audio systems to choose from, leather interior and immaculate attention to detail throughout the entire cabin, the Chrysler 300C has to be experienced to be believed. Best of all storage options are still plentiful with 60/40 split-folding rear seat and large cargo area.

Whether you’re after white knuckle performance, top of class luxury, style that stands out from the crowd or family safety there’s a Chrysler 300C to suit you. Why not visit Adrien Brien to experience the thrill of the Chrysler 300C – we’re positive you’ll never be the same again.

10 YEARS OF SERVICE

At our annual Christmas eve day lunch we congratulated our Ford Business Centre Manager Phil Steer and our New Vehicle Detailer Alan Smith on their 10 years of loyal service to our organization.

Phil in fact has been here 15 years with a short spell away in 1996/97. Both Phil and Alan are a credit to themselves in their respective roles and both have been high achievers for us.

Well done on all your hard work guys and here’s to another great 10 years.

BACK IN 1997...

Things were a little different back in 1997 when Phil and Alan joined the team.

Geoffrey Rush won the “Best Actor” Oscar for his role in ‘Shine’.

Best Picture went to ‘The English Patient’.

Savage Garden won an Aria for their ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’ album.

Tony Blair becomes the youngest English PM in 185 years at age 44.

Lady Di is tragically killed in a car accident.

The Thredbo disaster occurred, with Stuart Diver the only survivor.

Mike Tyson was banned for biting off a piece of Evander Holyfield’s ear.

The big news for S.A was the Adelaide Crows taking out the A.F.L Premiership title.

HAVE A FIESTA WITH FORD

The Ford Fiesta has long been a favourite on Australian roads, and with good cause. Blending the best of small vehicle versatility with surprising amounts of space and power, the Fiesta range has something to suit everyone with six models to choose from.

The half-dozen pocket dynamos start out with the Fiesta LX 3 door that makes use of an award winning Duratec 1.6 15V engine to ensure that just because it’s compact doesn’t mean it’s a compromise. If more doors are to your liking the 5 door LX or Zetec are perfect for everything from long drives on the open road to zipping around town.

And if you’re after a true driving experience, the Fiesta XR4 can’t be beat – continuing the already strong XR tradition, the Fiesta XR4 truly is a pocket rocket. The front wheel drive features a 2.0-litre engine to offer drivers 110kW of power along with larger ventilated brakes, enhanced sport suspension, body kit, 17” alloy wheels, sports seats and Dynamic Stability Control.

From only $12,990 plus dealer delivery & on-road costs, make an appointment today to test drive any of the new Fiesta’s for yourself.
