WELCOME TO BRIGHTON NISSAN…NATHAN EXTON |
Nathan Exton joins the team as Brighton Nissan’s New Car Sales Manager.
With 17 years in the industry, Nathan definitely enjoys his work. His favourite part of the job is the satisfaction of achieving targets.
He is often known as Nate, for obvious reasons, and in his spare time you’ll find watching the NRL, bike riding or heading out for a nice meal.
His life mottos: drive it like you stole it, or perhaps more appropriately, live each day like it’s your last.
|
When it comes to buying a car, Nathan’s best advice for you is to consider what the car will be used for 90% of the time, and buy for that purpose rather than what you might use it for occasionally.
We got Nathan to finish a few sentences about himself:
I get annoyed when… people don’t do their job.
If I had one million dollars I would… travel to Europe.
I’ll never forget… the birth of my kids.
People would describe me as… humourous, intense, sarcastic, relaxed.
I am happiest when… I’m with my partner Megan doing anything.
My biggest achievement is… my kids (so far so good anyway).
My biggest regret is… leaving the fire brigade.
My guilty pleasure is… chocolate.
You might be surprised to know that I… am a Buddhist.
The person who would play me in the movie of my life would be… from the ages 18 – 25, Bradley Cooper, but these days Ricky Gervais.

Washing your car is one thing, but how often do you focus on giving your wheels and tyres a good scrub?
The wheel is perhaps one of the most important inventions in history, used in some way in almost every machine today.
The wheel came about in around 3500 BC and has continued to evolve ever since, now playing not only imperative role on your very own vehicle, but a stylish feature too.
Such an historic innovation deserves to be treated with the utmost respect, so here are some tips to keep your wheels and tyres in top condition.
• When cleaning your wheels, make sure you do them before you wash the rest of the car. This way you won’t be covering freshly cleaned panel with the dirt, brake dust and cleaners associated with cleaning your wheels and tyres.
• Make sure your tyres aren’t still hot from driving before you begin, and always clean your wheels in the shade so that the cleaner doesn’t stain the wheel.
• Using basic soapy water to clean wheels and tyres is a thing of the past. Check out the range of liquid cleaners available specifically for wheels, and a good car washing soap for the tyres should do the trick. |
• Do the wheels first with a liquid cleaner, making sure that it is safe to use on your wheels as some cleaners are rather acidic and can damage some painted or clear-coated wheels. Apply liquid and ideally scrub with tyre brush or soft household brush, or even a tooth-brush for intricately detailed wheels. Give them a rinse with cold water when you’re done.
• Once the wheels are done, give the tyres a good scrub with your car wash soap. To finish up, just rinse again with cold water.
• While you’re focusing on your tyres, take the time to head to the servo and check your air pressure. Also, tyres have indicators in their tread pattern. The indicators show up as lines across the tread when it gets down to 1.6mm, so check this out to be sure that your tyres are still safe.
