Hello and welcome to the December Central Ford e-news.

A this year comes to an end and we welcome in not just a new year but a new decade, it’s a good time to reflect on the 12 months that have just gone before us.

The Black Saturday bushfires that devastated Victorians earlier this year was one of Australia’s biggest tragedies and saw Australians and the international community pull together to help victims who lost their homes and loved ones.

We saw the incredible strength and courage of the bushfire victims as they rebuilt their homes and towns in the face of such a terrible event. It made us all proud to be Australian.

Ford made a huge dent in the automotive industry this year with the launch of the all-new Ford Fiesta which has been a roaring success in the marketplace and a clear indicator of the future of the small car.

The new My Ford website which offers free membership to Ford fans will see you through 2010 with exclusive offers and sound advice on caring for your Ford. Read on find out how you can join.

As Central Ford Kilmore looks forward to what the next year brings us, we’d like to thank all of our customers for their continued loyalty and support through 2009 and we very much look forward to seeing you all again in 2010.

We wish all of our customers a wonderful Christmas and a happy and safe New Year!

The prize is a beautiful hand-crafted ‘Little Blue Bailey Bear’ glass sculpture which represents the work the Bailey’s Day charity does.

Bailey’s Day is a charity that raises funds to train doctors that treat children with cancer. This year’s event, which took place at the Southern Golf Club in Keysborough and included a luncheon for 300 guests, was hosted by Geoff ‘Coxy’ Cox and raised a record-breaking $170,000.

The money goes to Monash Medical Centre’s Children’s Cancer Centre where it funds the training of a clinical fellow who will specialise in paediatric oncology.

RUN FOR STRENGTH FUN RUN 2010

This year’s Run for Strength Fun Run, which was held back in February and was a huge success raising a massive $40,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Research Foundation.

Three hundred keen participants completed the course round Albert Park Lake and enjoyed a sausage sizzle and refreshments in the sun afterwards.

The second annual event is due to take place in February 2010 and is open to a larger number of participants – 500 in total - with the hope of raising even more funds to help find a solution to these devastating disorders.

Ozi Akyildiz and Sam Quattrone of Preston Motors are the guys behind the Run for Strength concept and are asking for any sponsor, big or small, to come on board and help support this amazing cause.

You can contact Ozi on 0416 199 927.
